Brooks Oxford Rain Cape Review
The Brooks Oxford Rain Cape
was re-created in London by a team of fashion designers who are also avid cyclists. The group mastered the art of cutting and stitching in Savile Row, the renowned London street of bespoke tailors. The garment is manufactured in England using the finest waterproof cotton, JB Raver Tweed and the same vegetable tanned leather used for the legendary Brooks Saddles. Reflective JB Raver Tweed is a Dashing Tweed fabric manufactured exclusively for John Boultbee using the finest worsted wool yarns subtly combined with modern technical reflective threads, woven together in a traditional mill in Scotland.
“I bought the Electric Bike Store gentlemen’s offer which included Brooks Oxford Rain Cane, Volt Savile Electric Bike, Brooks roll up panniers, Trelock folding lock, and Brooks trouser straps. Brooks Oxford Rain Cape looks great and is very useful in London. It is certainly not one of the cheapest one but quality is paramount for me. Finest waterproof cotton, JB Raver Tweed and vegetable tanned leather ensure not only that you stay dry and comfortable throughout your journey but also that you look stylish. The roll-up design attaches under the saddle when not in use and the integral hood with peak keeps the rain off your face when traveling. The cane is made in the UK and this makes me even happier with my purchase. I would definitely recommend it to others.” Mark Langley, London
