Great bike. So well equipped and such a joy to ride. It really does feel like a hand is pushing you up hills and we live at the bottom of a hill! So a great way to get going when riding out. The quality of the bike is evident. We decided to go for the large battery (80 miles over the standard’s 60) and I do not regret paying the extra, well worth it. Minor niggle, when I got my Pulse home, I noticed it didn’t have an elastic strap on the luggage rack, like the bike on their website. When I called up Volt to query they couldn’t have been more helpful and sent out a whole replacement rack! The issue was that the bike I purchased from my local bike shop was slightly older stock and didn’t have the fittings for the elastic strap. I’ll either get the local bike shop to fit it or fit it myself as it looks easy enough to swap out. What great customer service. All in all, I will certainly be recommending Volt bikes to my friends and family.

My husband recently bought an Infinity from our local dealers and is highly delighted with it.
In order to keep up with him I decided I would like a Pulse and I am collecting it in the next few days.
I have ridden his Infinity and it is a joy with hills a thing of the past. Very clever bike and not much thinking for me to do to decide to buy the Pulse.
I would like to say that our experience with Volt and especially Lyle was a very pleasant one.
In these days of general apathy it was refreshing to have contact with someone who obviously cares about his product and indeed his customers.
Thank you Lyle for your help and advice. You are a Top Man.

Great bike! This is my second Volt Pulse as someone decided to help themselves to my first. I should thank them really as my battery, charger and seat were all in my house so now I have a brand new bike, two batteries, two chargers and two seats.
On a serious note this is a great piece of kit. I’ve always cycled to work, every day for over 30 years. As I’m not getting any younger I decided to treat myself to a pedal assisted bike. I have two very steep hills to climb on my way home and it’s as easy as riding on the flat. Gears solid and never slip, brakes are sharp, adjustable front fork suspension works well as does the seat post suspension. Seat’s nice and comfy! Full front and rear mudguards do the job well. Very useful rear luggage rack and bike stand. Nice chunky bar grips. Puncture resistant tyres on very smart rims. The battery slips and locks in place very discreetly and the wiring is well hidden. The motor is nice and quiet and very powerful and kicks in really quickly once you start pedalling. If you want a bit of help getting away at the lights or on an incline, push the throttle as you begin to peddle and within a second or two and a few gear changes you’ll be up to speed. The controller is very simple to use and has all the info you could ever want. The lights are very bright and well placed. The whole bike feels very solid and well built. Can’t fault it at all. Beats public transport any day!
My first Volt Pulse did over 6000 km in the 18 months I had it with no problems other than one puncture. Even Kevlar lined tyres won’t stop a nail.
I ride 5-1/2 miles into the city each day and I can guarantee that whatever the weather (barring snow and ice) and however bad the traffic, I’ll be there in 20 minutes.

I’ve been researching electric bikes for the last 6 months and tried quite a few different brands but the Volt Pulse was by far best. It’s quiet, powerful and very well made. I 100% recommend Volt and the guys at the Electric Bike Store.

No matter how far I cycle in a day I can never run out of battery!.. I regularly cycle 40 miles and find I only use 2 segments of the 5 segment battery indicator. This is running on level 3 Tour power setting My only complaint would be that I seem to go through brake pads holding it back!! I have had 1 or 2 teething problems with my Volt Pulse however the service from my local dealer and yourselves has been excellent. I would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone and would buy a replacement if required in the future.

Bought a Volt Pulse for a 12 mile-a-day commute. In my forties and 20lbs overweight so hoping this will help.
Lyle and his company were fantastic. I emailed them to say I needed Friday or Saturday delivery and they suggested they deliver to a local bike shop and pay them to set it up for me. I live virtually opposite Lockes in Sandwich so this made a huge amount of sense.
VERY happy with my bike. Paired with a set of Red & Black “Ortlieb City Rear Roller” panniers it really looks “the business”. Pleased to say you still have to put some effort in to maintain a steady 25km/h – but the motor is amazing – really puts a smile on your face – and the ability to cruise on the thumb-throttle whilst you get your breath back is great. Also can admit I enjoyed overtaking some racing bikes on a hybrid as an overweight 40-something perhaps a little too much 🙂
Great product. Great company. Highly recommended if you can afford it – can’t see how you would be disappointed.

My partner and I spent quite some time in sleuthing which electric bike to buy and we came across the Pulse and the Burlington.
We called Lyle in the week to make an appointment for a weekend test ride of the electric bikes and requested that he build the two bikes as we were 99% sure we were going to buy them. When we arrived we found him knowledgeable and friendly.
He took us for ride around the streets and at each stop he pointed out more features about the bikes. Not once did he try to “sell” us the bikes, which I found very professional.
We purchased the two as planned and are thrilled with the quality of the bikes and the professional approach by Lyle.
I would definitely recommend anyone wanting to buy an electric bike to give them a try, I am sure you will not be disappointed

Volt bike is really amazing. I live in Enfield and work at Knightsbridge. This long distance I cover by my volt Pulse bike. Whatever, the weather or road conditions are, it doesn’t matter. I enjoy my cycling without any tiredness. I love my bike.

The Volt Pulse pedelec bicycle has been a revelation. It does everything claimed. Steep hills are easily climbed, the controls are childsplay and the cycling is fun. I find it doesn’t impair fitness training as the motor is easily turned off and conversely easily turned on if required. The back light is excellent but the front light is a little dim off road but apart from that everything is brilliant. Its a pleasure to ride.

Waited 5 weeks from when order placed to delivery because of stock problems, but it was worth the wait. Everything about the Volt Pulse is more than I expected. Sturdy construction, smart looking and extremely easy to use. The walk through given when bike was delivered was excellent and covered all aspects of operation, charging, care, maintenance, etc. Absolutely no regrets ordering this model. I am 76 next month and use it every day, what better way to keep fit !

WOW , So glad I bought the Volt Pulse , amazing bike , worth every penny and Piers that delivered the bike was very professional , First day out had a puncture , tried to repair but had split in seem of inner tube , phoned Lyle at electric bike store and said very sorry to here that and sent me out two inner tubes , bit of a bugger to get the inner tube replaced (back wheel !!) but now great , effortless up hills 🙂

I live on the south coast and ordered my Volt Pulse online on a Saturday of a bank holiday weekend. I had a call later that day from Electric Bike Store confirming my order. They then arranged delivery to a local bike dealer near to me so that my bike would be fully assembled and checked out prior to me taking delivery. Considering it was a bank holiday weekend I was still able to collect my bike on the Thursday whichI thought was outstanding. Electric Bike Store kept me informed all the way through the process and then phoned me once I have taken reciept of my bike to confirm all was okay with the bike and to advise on how to get the best from my new bike.
I woud whole heartedly recomend Electric Bike Store to any current or would be electric bike riders. Other stores could learn a thing or two on customer service from Electric Bike Store.

Just had a bike delivered in Cornwall. Excellent company, a pleasure to do business with. Love my Volt Pulse, it is by far the best looking hybrid electric bike I have seen (and I’ve looked at a lot!) It also performs above and beyond what I expected and tackles the Cornish hills and cycle paths with ease. Electric Bike-store what can I say ? I did a lot of research before buying and and spoke to a lot of stores and these guys stood head and shoulders above anyone else. High recommend both product and Store you will not regret it.
