We’ve kept the best features of the Burlington, like an adjustable stem, sweeping handlebars, SKS mudguards and pannier rack with integrated front and rear light, but also included several new upgrades.
With air suspension forks rather than spring loaded, it offers a lighter front end and more responsive ride. The forks also have a lock-out feature allowing the suspension to be ‘turned off’ if you don’t want the forks to absorb any energy you are generating when riding on smooth surfaces. The brakes have been upgraded from mechanical to hydraulic disc brakes offering a more powerful and responsive braking system. Swapping derailleur gears for internal hub gears, the Regent sports the Shimano Nexus 8, a smooth and intuitive system with an easy to use twist grip makes gear changes effortless.
The new E6100 STEPS system from Shimano comes with a plethora of new features, including updated ergonomic controls, Bluetooth and wireless control abilities. The motor itself has also been updated in size and shape, creating more rigidity and better power transfer and has been reduced by 210g to a total weight of 2.88kg. This gives the motor a 20% increase in efficiency and therefore a longer range and a smoother transition when pedalled past the 15.5mph assistant limit.
All these upgrades make the Regent the perfect choice if you’re looking for a smooth and stylish bike packed with the latest technology. Thanks to the 2 Year peace-of-mind Warranty it will put your mind at ease on and off the road.
