Now more than ever cycling seems like the most logical way to get to work, live a healthier life and even to save money. With Summer just around the corner and sunshine on the agenda, cycling has never been a more obvious choice!
Fed up with your commute to work? You’re not alone. A recent study reveals that over a quarter of commuters would switch to cycling if given access to an e-bike!

Electric Bikes are poised to make a big impact in the UK for 2017. Over the last couple of years Europe has seen an explosion in electric bike sales. In 2015 Germany sold 535,000 e-bikes. With around 35,000 sold within the UK in 2016, there is a lot of room to grow. The continued rise in popularity combined with cheaper, more efficient and more attractive e-bikes launching is starting to generate a bit of a buzz!
It’s official, there’s more folk pedalling on two wheels than ever before! With more and more people taking up their bikes and hitting the road, the market for cycling safety has seen a recent revolution. There has never been a better time to stay safe and still look good on a bike!
So 2017 got of to a great start for commuters. Providing them with a nice little raise in rail fair, Sunday night and Monday morning strike across all of zone one and of course continued chaos on Southern Rail from 2016’s unfinished business.
It’s fair to say the commuters of Southern Railways are having a miserable time right now. If you’re a well seasoned commuter you’ll be well used to strike action, engineering works and all those spontaneous delays be it due to weather, staff shortages or trespassers on the railways!
On top of the all too frequent delays, in 2017 UK train prices are set to increase by 2.3%. It seems there has never been a better time to exchange your train ticket for two wheels.
Those wanting to commute on two wheels in London will also welcome London Mayor Sadiq Khan’s pledge to make cycling the “safe and obvious” transport choice for all Londoners with a record £770m investment into cycling initiatives throughout the city.
Here’s our top ten reasons why we think people should consider an e-bike for their daily commute…
